Mission
The Dutch Alien Expertise Centre compiles knowledge concerning exotic species with the aim to control these species in the wild and to advise policy makers and land owners regarding effective mitigation.
The expertise centre strives to develop evidence based, scientifically sound knowledge for the following aims:
▪ Prevention of introduction- and early detection of exotic species
▪ Prediction effects of exotic species on indigenous species- and systems and risk analysis
▪ Advise policy makers and land owners concerning effective mitigation measures.
